The Independent ERP Transformation Advisory Service for Executive Leadership

No financial relationships with partners, vendors, or selection consultants. No hourly billing. Fixed Fee limited-term engagements.

Focused solely on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Bringing 35 years of ERP experience to the table and providing leaders with an expert sounding board in all areas of readiness, scope, risk, AI impact, and strategic decision-making.

Is it worth your time to keep reading?

Here is a useful test. The Dynamics project is approved, the partner is confident, and the internal team is confident. And somehow, having backed one of the most consequential IT investments your organisation will ever make, none of that confidence is letting you sleep soundly. If that is where you are, then yes.

NEED TO KNOW: Your ERP project is also about AI readiness

The Ground is Shifting. Most People in the Room Don't Know it Yet.

ERP is no longer a destination. It is a foundation — and what gets built on top of it in the next five years will determine whether your organization leads or lags in the AI era.

The vendors will tell you their platform is AI-ready. The implementation partner will nod along. Neither of them is paid to tell you when it isn't — or to ask the harder question: are your people ready for what comes next?

Here is what is actually happening. AI agents are moving toward direct interaction with business systems, bypassing the human operators who sit between them today. Microsoft has already released a preview of an ERP Model Context Protocol server — a technical architecture that allows AI to run ERP processes autonomously, without a user in the middle. Headless ERP, where the transaction engine is separated from the experience layer, is no longer a future concept. It is an emerging reality.

This means that decisions made during your ERP implementation right now — about data structures, customizations, integrations, and how you design the user experience — are either building toward that future or inadvertently closing the door to it. Spending significant money customizing a user interface for a role that an AI agent may be performing in twenty-four months is not a hypothetical risk. It is a budget conversation happening in implementation rooms today, with no one qualified to call it out. And it is not only an architecture question. It is a workforce question. Some of the roles being carefully designed and resourced right now will not exist in their current form within three years. Others will become more valuable. Most organisations cannot yet tell which is which.

The wave is real. The timing is uncertain. The vendor confidence is, in many cases, significantly ahead of the production evidence.

That is precisely where experience matters most — not to slow things down, but to make sure that when the wave arrives, you are in a position to catch it rather than be buried by it. That includes knowing, at the role level, which parts of your workforce are moving toward that wave and which are standing in front of it.

At Solven Advisory, human intelligence and artificial intelligence work together in every engagement. AI runs continuously in the background — monitoring project health, analyzing documents, identifying risk patterns, flagging change orders that don't hold up to scrutiny. Senior human judgment decides what it means, what to do about it, and what to say when it's time for a difficult conversation.

The result: the analytical depth of a well-resourced advisory team, and the accountability of a single experienced practitioner who has read everything the AI has surfaced — and is willing to tell you the truth about it.

One service that reflects this directly is the Workforce Futures Assessment — a structured, role-by-role analysis of your organization against ERP task dependency and automation probability, delivered as a board-ready findings report across 12, 24, and 36-month horizons. It tells you which roles to invest in, which to redesign, and which are being automated faster than your current plan assumes. If you are mid-implementation or recently live on Dynamics 365, the conversation is worth having now — while the decisions are still yours to make.

Who We Are

Our Story

Our Expertise

Our Expertise

Between 55 and 75 percent of ERP implementations fail to meet their original objectives. Cost overruns average 189 percent of budget. And 94 percent of CFOs regret their implementation. These are not freak outcomes — they are predictable, and they are preventable. Solven Advisory exists because someone needs to be in the room who has seen enough to recognise the patterns early, ask the uncomfortable questions, and give you a fighting chance of not becoming one of those statistics.
